SURFACE DESIGN IS DONE BY HAND.
I am obsessed with the surface design of fabrics and leather, whether it is painting a quirky image, making imperfect stripes or splattering with dye, or carving and printing linoleum blocks. Not only is this my favorite part of the process, it connects all of my different mediums. Whether I am making art on cardboard, designing a dress, or decorating a wallet, you better believe that I’m doing it all by hand. It takes longer and is more expensive than using pre-printed materials, but it really makes every single piece truly individual and unique.
